The road from Arequippa to Cuzco passes through the Andes with a high point of 4800 metres. If you want to get Altitude Sickness it is certainly a good route to take.

The road passes by the Colca Canyon, one of the world's deepest canyons.

As in many valleys, the Inca's built terraces in the Colca Canyon, many of which still survive today

If you're really lucky, you will get to sit by the side of the road and watch a car rally for 6 hours
