Cuzco And Surrounds

Cuzco - the ancient capital city of the Inca Civilization lies high in the Andes and at the height of the Incas was the hub of an empire stretching from Chile to Ecuador. After being conquered by the Spaniards in the 1500's a lot of the Inca buildings were destroyed and replaced by more suitable Christian Churches. However many remnants of Inca times still remain. And also it's a really happening place

Some of the Inca stonework at Sacsayhuamen. This is one of the biggest stones at the site.

More Inca Stones. The angle of slope of the doors and windows is supposed to make the building much less susceptible to earthquakes.
